WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible
We believe: the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
God
We believe: that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Deity
We believe: in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in
His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to
the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
Regeneration
We believe: in the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential for the salvation of lost and sinful men. We also believe that
this salvation is permanent once a person is born again into the family of God.
Holy Spirit Ministry
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose
indwelling the Christian is enabled to live the Godly life. We believe in the
spiritual gifts as clearly taught in the Bible and do not accept modifications
of them for any reason.
Future Resurrection
We believe: in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - those
who are saved to the resurrection of life, and those who are lost to the resurrection of condemnation.
Spiritual Unity
We believe: in the spiritual unity of believers in Christ, and the
evidence of that unity being shown by how we love one another.
The Christian Life
We believe: the ultimate purpose in living is to know and glorify God
and to attain eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, beginning with in our own families and then reaching out to
the farthest corner of the world, to proclaim His love and sacrifice.
Marriage
We believe: the institution of marriage was intended by God to be a
permanent, lifelong relationship between a man and a woman,
regardless of trials, sickness, financial reverses or emotional stresses
that may ensue. We further believe that the only Biblical support for the dissolving
of a marriage is adultery, and this dissolving should only be as a last resort.
Children
We believe: children are a heritage from God and a blessing from His
hand. We are therefore accountable to Him for raising, shaping and preparing them for a life of service to His Kingdom and to humanity.
Human Life
We believe: human life is of inestimable worth and significance in all
its dimensions, including the unborn, the aged, the widowed, the
mentally handicapped, the unattractive, the physically challenged and
every other condition in which humanness is expressed from
conception to the grave.
Church, Family, Government
We believe: God has ordained three basic institutions; the church, the
family and the government; for the benefit of all humankind. The family exists to propagate the race and to provide a safe and secure
haven in which to nurture, teach and love the younger generation. The church exists to minister to individuals and families by sharing the love
of God and the message of repentance and salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ. The government exists to maintain cultural
equilibrium and to provide a framework for social order.
We are committed to these principles at every level of the Online Christian
Ministry. The values and techniques taught to
parents are drawn from the wisdom of the Bible and Judeo-Christian
ethic, rather than from the humanistic notions of today's theorists. In short,
OLCM is a reflection of what we believe to be the recommendations of the Creator Himself, who ordained the family and
gave it His blessing.
